PACQUIAO CLAIMS LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE
Manny Pacquiao took the WBC title away from David Diaz in an exquisite display. The Filipino fighter proved many wrong and took his power up another weight level and made his opponent a bloody mess by the time the fight was stopped. Pacman was simply too quick for the defending champion picking his shots perfectly and connecting with some bombs. The fight was stopped after a perfectly timed left hook, the referee waving the contest off without a count.

MARSH TAKES BRITISH CROWN FROM PICKERING
Matthew Marsh took the British super bantamweight title away from Esham Pickering at the York Hall in Bethnal Green by winning a unanimous decision 115-113, 116-113 and 117-111. The younger Marsh proved too much for the ageing Pickering in the all action fight which ended with Marsh being paraded around the ring and Pickering looking dejected in defeat after a long 12 year career.

KHAN STOPS BRAVE GOMEZ
Amir Khan maintained his unbeaten record by stopping a brave Michael Gomez
inside of 5 rounds. After being knocked down in the first the Manchester fighter
caught Khan with a left hook in the second sending him to the floor. Khan however
continued on and came through a vicious bodyshot to stop Gomez. After being sent down
a second time and being bombarded by punches, Gomez was saved by the referee who had seen
enough....
